On this device

Puzzle letters, attempts, editor drafts and recovery copies use browser storage. Clearing site data can remove them. Export drafts for a backup; exported puzzle files include answers.

With an account

The service stores sign-in information, saved puzzles and synced attempts in its database. Account progress is separate from guest progress and from other accounts. Passwords are hashed. Optional Google or Apple sign-in uses the selected provider. Signing out does not delete your account or saved creations.

Personal links and challenges

A personal puzzle link contains an access key in its fragment. The key is sent to the service when opening the puzzle and authorizing shared progress. Anyone receiving the full link can forward it. Hosts and creators can revoke invitations or links. Challenge participants see generic player labels and submitted solve results, not account email addresses.

Optional analytics

When configured, Google Analytics measures page categories and actions such as tutorial starts and puzzle completions. Analytics events exclude puzzle answers, clues, authored personal titles, account identities, query strings and URL fragments. Referrers are reduced to their origins. Advertising signals and ad personalization are disabled. The Google tag supplies its normal browser and session measurement.

Reports and publication

Public and link-only content is checked by an English word/rule filter. Signed-in reports retain the reported revision and optional report details for manual review. Reports are private. Public content is available to visitors and search engines; making it private stops future public access but cannot erase copies already received by others.

Keep a backup of important drafts and use the visibility controls before sharing. A public or forwarded copy may remain outside this service after you change access.
